Richland Creek Wilderness, Ozark National Forest, Arkansas - April 15, 2011
After heavy rains moved through the Ozarks, I felt inspired to photograph rapids along the rough, boulder-shrouded Richland Creek. Experimenting with shutter speeds, a happy medium was found between blurring motion in the water while still freezing some of the action for these particular rapids. In the end, I decided that this image was best in black and white due to the greater contrast allowing the water details to stand out.
