Ozark National Forest near the Mulberry River, Arkansas - April 20, 2011
In the early afternoon, on my way to Wolf Pen campground on the Mulberry River, I noticed these dogwoods in bloom along the roadside. Even though the sun was bright and high in the sky, a thin haze allowed the camera to pick up all the detail in this forest scene. Actually, this lighting created a backlighting effect that gives the forest and blossoms a slight glow. A telephoto zoom at 70mm was used to isolate this composition.
