Steel Creek Access, Buffalo National River, Arkansas
This is one of my favorite places in Arkansas. Roark Bluff, in the distance, actually towers hundreds of feet above the Buffalo River below. On this fall morning, I made my way down to the river as I had many times before. But this time, I found these star shaped Sweet Gum leaves dispersed among the rocks sweeping around the end of this large pool on the river. I used my widest lens so that I could get close to the foreground while including Roark Bluff and the fall foliage in the background.
