Ouachita National Forest near Albert Pike Campground, Arkansas
The Little Missouri River is one of the most scenic rivers in Arkansas. I have not had many opportunities to photograph this area, but hope to visit and make many more future compositions of this river and the Ouachita Mountains. This image was made just after sunrise. The distant trees with early to peak fall foliage are slightly backlit creating strong color saturation and orange, red and yellow reflective hues on the surface of the water that is in shadow.
