Ozark National Forest, Arkansas
This is one of the most unique waterfalls in the country. Over time, Dismal Creek has bored through an overhanging bluff to produce a large hole that its waters now pass through creating this waterfall. I liked the brownish, coppery color and fractured texture of the ceiling of the den that the falls spill into. I used a wide angle lens to include much of this den and placed the top of the waterfall slightly to the left to help balance the composition.
