On this particular day, I decided to photograph the sunset near my camp in Chisos Basin. I moved to a location along the trail where I could create a sunburst by placing the sun in this "dip" along the ridge before it set. For this final result, two images were blended together in Photoshop, one for the sky and one to reveal slight detail in the basin below. My ultimate goal was to produce an image that represented the scene as I had seen it with my own eyes.
