Mike Boyd

Terlingua Cemetery was a place I had looked forward to photographing for a long time.  To me, the stone graves and worn wooden crosses represent the harsh lives once lived by people representing many cultures that have inhabited this area for ages.  As if to reflect the intensity of lost lives, a strong thunderstorm approached the area and I found myself capturing this composition.  I used a 2-stop gradual neutral density filter to help even out the exposure between the sky and cemetery.
