Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
This scene near Schwabacher Landing, along with the Snake River Overlook made famous by Ansel Adams, are true photographic icons. When I made this trip to the Tetons in my late 20's, I could not pass up the opportunity to stand where many legends had been and compose an image of my own. For this composition, I liked the way the three trees mirror the three main peaks in the reflection during sunrise. In the future, I will focus more on unique perspectives of iconic as well as lesser known landscapes.
