Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
While driving through Capitol Gorge, I first noticed the contrast of these strong vertical lines on this section of canyon wall that included a lone pine along it's base. It was afternoon on a clear day, but this entire scene was in shadow producing an even light that would allow all the texture details of the rock and vegetation to be present in the final composition.
